Your basement is a wonderful world, and you watching over its propriety and its lack of propriety with such care. Thanks for the glimpse.

Carmine, your writing is absolute magic. Completely transportive. I loved the play of moving between the realms of mystery and light, between the conscious and the subconscious. It felt so intimate. Thank you.

And about how we are always trying to save a part of ourselves in our attempt to save others. How significant it is to see them in their wholeness. This piece, aside from being beautiful & nuanced (and bringing together these binaries) - is also an exercise in being compassionate towards others, as well as towards ourselves.

Mmmm. Another deeply nourishing reverie. Thank you.

And this nugget, it sliced deep: “Being feared by other creatures is the sorrow of the human condition”

Please capture the moth, please help it to be where it belongs, where it needs to be. Thank you for caring and worrying for animals, birds, insects, etc.

He landed on my arm last night. His wings were a velvety, glimmering bronze, like my favorite eyeshadow. I took him outside and he did a final disappearing act. 🤎🤎🤎

Absolutely lovely!! I adore dark places!! I like to linger in dark places and thresholds between the dark and light places. I am equal parts of each - - maybe a little more dark, a modern-day Persephone except that I prefer the dark over light, the quiet, the solitude, where I can quietly weave myself into the shadows. XO
